Six Ways to Keep the "Little" in Your Girl: Guiding Your Daughter from Her Tweens to Her Teens (Secret Keeper Girl) , by Dannah Gresh

If you have little girls running around your house, then this is a MUST READ {imho}!! The title states that it is directed towards tween girls {ages 8-12}, but I HIGHLY recommend you read it before then so you know how to prepare.

Below are the posts from each week of our study, covering 2-3 chapters each; I did not cover everything in each chapter. There is still so much more to read and learn in the book.

Follow the links below and read each of these posts to find out why it is so important to follow His ways when raising our daughters {and to discover what His ways really are}. We need to be intentional about seeking after God and protecting our girls from the world. It is all around us and we are influenced more than we even know.

Just as a side note - there is also a book for the parents of boys, Six Ways to Keep the "Good" in Your Boy: Guiding Your Son from His Tweens to His Teens that I have heard is excellent!

Part 1 - Why I chose this book

Part 2 - Introduction to the book

Part 3 - What is at stake? Depression, Eating Disorders and Impurity

Part 4 - Brain Development and Parent / Child connectedness

Part 5 - Talking about Barbie and her Period

Part 6 - Unplug her & Unbrand her

Part 7 - The "Talk"

Top Ten Things I learned from the book

I love to hear from my readers so if you are thinking something that is beneficial and profitable (which does not mean you have to agree with me, but at least be nice), then I would love to hear from you!
